A Glimpse into Kanban's Origin

Born within the walls of Toyota's manufacturing plants during the 1940s, Kanban commenced its journey as a lean inventory control system. The primary aim was to match inventory with actual consumption, thus minimizing waste. Today, Kanban has transcended its automotive origins and established itself as a leading agile methodology, embraced by various industries to optimize work processes and enhance efficiency.

Scrum, as an agile methodology, has revolutionized how companies operate and manage their projects across various sectors. Banking and insurance sectors, traditionally known for their rigidity and lengthy processes, are now increasingly embracing the agile way, notably the Scrum approach.

In this series, we will explore several prominent agile methodologies. However, before diving into specific methodologies, let's begin by understanding the essence of agile, its origins, significance, and how it can positively impact our work.

Last Friday, BBHT Solutions held their highly anticipated annual event, BBHT Day, at the beautiful Wonderland Resort in Cluj-Napoca.

We started the event with a presentation on the company's development, strategies, and plans for the upcoming year. This presentation provided attendees with valuable insights into the direction the company is heading and the exciting initiatives it has in store. It further enhanced the overall experience of the event by giving participants a comprehensive view of BBHT Solutions' future trajectory.

We shifted our attention to this year's event main theme on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and various fields within the company, including software testing, software development, and marketing strategies. With each team allocated a specific domain, BBHT Day offered a dynamic opportunity to delve into the potential of AI in various professional fields. The event not only showcased the remarkable applications of AI but it also emphasized the symbiotic relationship between human ingenuity and technological innovation.

As software developers and testers, it's easy to get caught up in the fast-paced world of technology and forget about the importance of hobbies. However, having a hobby can have a positive impact on your work, helping you to stay focused, reduce stress and increase creativity. In this article, we'll explore some popular hobbies like sport, traveling, cooking, painting, reading, and DIY, and how they can help software developers and testers.

As the pandemic hit the world in 2020, businesses across the globe were forced to adopt remote work practices to ensure continuity of operations. IT consulting companies, being at the forefront of technological advancements, were able to transition relatively smoothly to remote work arrangements. This was also the case for BBHT Solutions, as we had already embraced a hybrid work model before the pandemic.

The first steps towards creating BBHT Solutions were taken in 2018 with the goal of providing high-quality manual testing services. In February 2019, the company's first three colleagues began working on manual testing projects, and since then, the company has grown to include a wider range of services, such as automated testing and software development.
