At BBHT Solutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning is one of our core values. On November 8th, 2024, we organized once again our Scrum Workshop, providing an opportunity for three of our colleagues and two external participants to deepen their understanding of Scrum methodology. The event was free for all attendees, with external participants selected through applications on LinkedIn.

The workshop was led by our colleague, Timea, whose expertise and approachable style made the learning experience enjoyable and impactful. The event was structured in two parts: a theoretical segment to cover the basics of Scrum and an interactive segment designed to put theory into practice through hands-on activities.

What Happened During the Workshop?

Participants learned about the fundamentals of Scrum, focusing on its principles, frameworks, and values. The theoretical insights were complemented by practical activities that emphasized teamwork, creativity, and iterative problem-solving.

Activity 1: Teams worked to construct a tall structure using spaghetti, marshmallows, tape, and scissors. This exercise highlighted the importance of collaboration and adaptive thinking in achieving goals under constraints.

Activity 2: Participants built a city using Lego pieces across three sprints, simulating a complete Scrum process from planning to review. This engaging activity demonstrated the value of iterative development and continuous improvement.

Participant Feedback

The workshop was highly appreciated for its clear organization, interactive format, and the supportive atmosphere created by Timea. One of the external participants, Corina, shared her thoughts:

"The Scrum workshop was an interesting and educational experience. It clarified foundational principles and helped me strengthen my understanding of concepts I was already familiar with. The friendly and collaborative environment made learning so much more enjoyable. I especially loved the interactive activities that seamlessly connected theory with practice."

She also praised the format and structure of the event, adding:

"Being in a small group allowed for better connections and more effective collaboration. The hands-on activities, especially the Lego exercise, were a fantastic way to grasp the iterative nature of Scrum."

We are thrilled with the positive feedback and are grateful to all the participants for their enthusiasm and active involvement. Special thanks to Timea for her excellent facilitation and to our external participants for their contributions.
